WATER ACTIVITIES
  • Surfing: located on famous “Zippers” surf break, known for surfing and boogie boarding.
  • Scuba Diving: local dive companies offer trips to dive spots, including the National coral reef, submarine canyons, featuring great scenery and a huge variety of aquatic life.
  • Deep Sea Fishing: Los Cabos is called the “Capital of Marlin fishing in the World”, with over 40,000 marlin caught annually! Go for this trophy fish or fish for a number of smaller game fish.
  • Swimming and Boogie Boarding: the warm water is ideal for swimming and boogie boarding.
         
LAND ACTIVITIES
  • Golf: 6 World Class courses nearby (more in the making), designed by such greats as Jack Nicklaus, Robert Trent Jones II, and the Dye Corporation
  • Shopping: Shops in San Jose Del Cabo offer great bargains on local crafts, resort wear and jewelry, as well as art. A short drive takes you into Cabo San Lucas for even more shopping!
  • Spas: Spa treatments available at nearby resorts include facials, massages, wraps, aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, manicures and pedicures, along with hydrotherapy, balneotherapy, thalassotherapy, Vichy or Swiss shower (multiple shower heads), ozone therapy, eucalyptus rooms, and various other treatments
     
  • Sightseeing: local attractions include:

    • The dramatic rock outcropping known as “El Arco” (The Arch) straddling Baja California where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean

    •  Whale watching (in season)

    • A large freshwater estuary just outside San Jose del Cabo

    • The Municipal Palace and Zocalo in San Jose del Cabo

    • The old lighthouse at Cabo Falso, out side of Cabo San Lucas

    • Glass-bottom boat tours

    • Sunset cruises

    • The glass factory 

  • Offroading: Dirt biking and 4x4s are nearby for more intense entertainment. Groups of all sizes are easily accommodated and the guides are friendly. Supervision is provided to ensure safety, but there’s a lot of freedom to cut loose, jump the dunes, etc.

  • Horseback Riding: Enjoy a sunset ride down the beach (at your back door!)

  • Dining: There are many fine dining opportunities, including Mexican, Italian, French, and Thai restaurants. Almost all specialize in fresh seafood. You will find terrific casual restaurants nearby.

    
  • Summary: Enjoy the nearby town of San Jose del Cabo, 5 minutes by car from Casa Fair. San Jose is the authentic, relaxed, upscale alternative to Cabo San Lucas, which is more “touristy”. Cabo San Lucas is a 20 minute drive from Casa Fair.
